How it works

From first test to target band.

  1. 01

    Find your level

Take one section test. Mockfy sets your starting level and suggests tests that match it.

  2. 02

    Practise every day

Mix section tests, the Daily English path and Speaking Room sessions. Short and often beats long and rare.

  3. 03

    Sit a full mock

When you feel ready, take the whole exam under real conditions and see exactly where you stand.

Band scores

Scored the way IELTS scores.

Listening and Reading are marked out of 40 and turned into a band with the standard conversion. Writing and Speaking get an automatic estimate from your own words. Your overall band is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Mockfy free?

Yes. Sign in with your Google account and every test, the Daily English path and the Speaking Room are open to you.

Which IELTS version is this?

IELTS Academic, in the computer-delivered format: the same sections, order, timing and question types.

How accurate are the Writing and Speaking bands?

They are automatic estimates from your text or transcript (length, structure, linking, vocabulary, grammar). Use them to track progress; compare with the model answers to see what a higher band looks like.

Can I practise on my phone?

Yes. Every page works on a phone, and you can install Mockfy as an app from your browser. A computer or tablet is still the closest to the real exam.

Is the Speaking Room recorded?

No. Video and audio go directly between your browser and your partner's. Only the text of your own answers is used to estimate your band.

Your target band starts with one test.

It takes less than a minute to sign in and begin.
