ckfyMockfy uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items. Every one of them is needed to run the Service or to remember a choice you made. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and the cache) works in a similar way. Websites use them to keep you signed in and to remember your choices.
Cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
session | Essential cookie | Keeps you signed in; signed and protected against tampering | Up to 30 days, or until you log out |
theme | Preference cookie | Remembers whether you chose day or night mode | 1 year |
sidebar | Preference cookie | Remembers whether you folded the sidebar | 1 year |
Browser storage we use
| Item | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Answer backup | Keeps answers you have just typed during a test until they reach our server, so nothing is lost if your connection drops | Removed once saved |
| Closed announcement | Remembers that you closed the latest announcement banner | Until you clear your browser data |
| Install reminder | Remembers that you chose Not now on the install banner | 30 days |
| Recent searches | Your last five searches in the app, on this device only | Until you clear your browser data |
| App cache | Pages and files you have opened, so the app opens quickly and works on a slow connection | Replaced when the app updates |
Third parties
Our public pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them. Signing in takes you to Google, which uses its own cookies under Google's policies. No other third party places cookies through Mockfy.
Your choices
Because we only use essential and preference cookies, there is no cookie banner. You can delete cookies and storage at any time in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to sign in.
