A full mock is the complete test in one sitting: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, in the official order and with real timing. It is the closest Mockfy gets to test day.
Format and timing
| Section | Time | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Listening | about 30 minutes + 2 minutes to check | 4 parts, 40 questions; each recording plays once |
| Reading | 60 minutes | 3 passages, 40 questions |
| Writing | 60 minutes | Task 1 (150+ words) and Task 2 (250+ words) |
| Speaking | about 11–14 minutes | Parts 1, 2 and 3 with the examiner's voice |
When you finish one section, the next one starts with its own intro screen. You cannot go back to a section you have finished, just like in the real exam.
Starting a full mock
- Open Full mock in the sidebar (on a phone: Tests).
- Choose a test and press Start.
- Read the intro screen for the first section and press Start when you are ready. The timer begins.
Tip: Plan about three hours without interruptions, use headphones and close other tabs.
Pausing and leaving
Press Back (top left) to pause. You can then continue, save and exit, or discard the attempt. Closing the tab also pauses the test. Saved attempts appear under Continue where you left off on the Dashboard.
Your result
- Each section gets a band from 0 to 9 in half-band steps.
- Your overall band is the average of the four sections, rounded the IELTS way: an average ending in .25 rounds up to .5, and one ending in .75 rounds up to the next whole band.
- Full mock results appear on the Dashboard and in History.
See Band scores for how each section is marked.
Retaking a full mock
You can retake any full mock. Retakes earn half the points and do not change your level, because you have already seen the answers.
